As spring moves into the hot summer days, this Anti-Inflammatory Lemon Ginger Turmeric tea will help you stay cool and hydrated and ease inflammation around your joints. Oh, and it’s delicious too.

Ingredients

1½ qt water

½ lemon, sliced or chopped, rind included

1in ginger root, chopped

Big dash of turmeric

Big dash of cinnamon

2 Tbs. Maple syrup.

Instructions

Fill a 2-quart pot about ¾ full with water. Add in all other ingredients and bring to a boil on the stove. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Then remove from heat and allow the drink to cool off. Strain into a glass jar.

Chill overnight in the fridge for an iced tea or enjoy hot.
