This Anti-Inflammatory Mango Turmeric Smoothie is almost too tasty to be an anti-inflammatory solution. It is rich in taste and in its healing properties.
What you need
1 cup frozen mango
1 banana (fresh or frozen)
1 cup unsweetened coconut or almond milk
½ tablespoon of chia seeds
½ teaspoon ground turmeric
½ teaspoon ground ginger (or grate some fresh ginger in, if you have it)
½ teaspoon cinnamon
A couple of dashes of ground black pepper
What you do
Soak chia seeds in the milk for about 10 minutes before making the smoothie. This softens the seeds and creates a thicker base for the smoothie. However, it isn’t necessary, and seeds can be added directly into the smoothie without soaking.
Put all ingredients into a smoothie and blend well.
Enjoy as an afternoon snack or as a meal on its own!
