Cherimoyas are a favorite fruit in the Caribbean. Check your local ethnic foods market and larger specialty fruit and vegetable stores for them. The best way to eat them is when they are ripe; slice them open, discard the seeds and skin, which are toxic, and enjoy. Or make them in this delicious easy super nutritious Raw Cherimoya Custard Pudding.
Ingredients
The flesh of 1 ripe cherimoya (discard skin and seeds)
⅓ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
Dash of salt
2 tbsp chopped pistachios
Instructions
Blend all ingredients, except pistachios, into a smooth texture (only takes a few seconds).
Transfer into a glass jar, and cover.
Chill in the freezer for about an hour, stir in pistachios, and enjoy
