This open-faced sandwich tastes decadent but it’s actually very healthy.  The cream cheese is a good source of calcium; the salmon is loaded with vitamin D.  The cucumber, onion and chives are chock full of vitamins C, K and A.  Pile on more veggies if you’d like, this is a no-guilt delish sandwich.



1 slice of rye sourdough bread

Cream Cheese

Sliced smoked salmon

Sliced cucumber

Finely sliced onion




Spread the cream cheese on the bread

Layer the salmon on top of the cream cheese

Top with cucumber, onion, and chives
