The tradition of Japanese Wrapping Cloth to wrap gifts has been in use for centuries. The cloth wrap is considered part of the gift and is expected to be used to wrap many gifts until it wears out. So, the idea of using cloth as a packing material is not new. Worn-out clothes, towels, sheets, rugs, and blankets make excellent environmentally friendly packaging. Make sure to cut them up for easier handling and wrapping.
