Mixing lavender and moodboosting chia seeds to create this healing Lavender Chia Pudding can bring your body and mind a sense of peace. The compounds in lavender can also help repel mosquitos. This delightful treat can be prepared in advance and enjoyed for breakfast, a snack, or even a delicious dessert.


1¼ cups plant-based milk (almond, cashew, hemp, coconut)
1 tablespoon fresh or culinary lavender
¼ cup chia seeds
1½ tablespoons pure maple syrup
½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
pinch of sea salt


Add nut milk to a small pot and heat until warmed through.

Turn off the heat and add the culinary lavender to the pot.

Cover and let steep for 15 minutes.

Pour the liquid through a fine-mesh strainer.

Add the nut milk, vanilla, sea salt, maple syrup, and chia seeds to a jar. (Optional: toss in 1 teaspoon of lemon zest)

Allow to sit for 20 minutes, whisking every few minutes until the mixture thickens.

Store the pudding in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight.

Check for desired thickness and flavor. Adjust if needed.
