It is mango season, and this fresh, energizing Mango Smoothie Bowl, also loaded with banana, pistachios, and chia seeds, is fresh and a great way to start a new day.

Ingredients

100g frozen mango chunks

½ small frozen banana (approximately 50g)

100g natural yogurt

50ml whole milk

3 cardamom pods, ground, seeds only

¼ tsp ground turmeric

1-3 drops of rose water extract, depending on the strength

¼ mango, diced (or a few extra chunks of frozen mango, defrosted and diced)

½ tbsp shelled pistachios, chopped

½ tsp chia seeds

Instructions

Put the first six ingredients and a few drops of the rose water in a blender and blend until thick and smooth.

If the mixture is too thick to combine, add a splash of water.

If you want more rosewater flavor, add up to a ¼ tsp of the extract.

Pour into a small, deep bowl and top with the fresh mango, pistachios, and chia seeds.
