Walnuts are a top nut recommended for brain health because they are a rich source of plant-based omega-3 fatty acids. Walnuts also contain more polyphenols than other nuts. Both nutrients combat inflammation, a major contributor of cognitive decline and memory loss.

This Maple Glazed Walnuts recipe makes a great snack and supports brain health.

Ingredients

2 cups walnut halves

1/3 C. Maple Syrup

1/8 tsp. sea salt

Instructions

Preheat a dry skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the walnuts, maple syrup, and salt.
