Watermelon Lime Spritzer

Watermelon Lime Spritzer

What better way to eat a water bottle than by slicing open a sweet watermelon to enjoy on a hot summer day.  Watermelon is 92% water and 6% natural sugar.   If you’re not into hauling a watermelon around here is a refreshing watermelon drink that can be carried in your biodegradable or reusable water bottle.

4 cups of watermelon, seedless

12 ounces of sparkling lime seltzer water, unsweetened

2 Limes, one sliced into wedges

Optional: 2 droppers of maple syrup

Place your diced watermelon in the freezer for about two hours.

Remove from the freezer and add to the blender, blending until smooth.

Strain the juice if you don’t want any pulp in your drink

Add the juice of one lime and 2 droppers of maple syrup.  Blend well

Pour the watermelon juice into four glasses halfway each.  Top of each with seltzer water to create foam.

Stir and add the sliced lime wedges for garnish
